KMM Knives
KMM is a murder-mystery first and a collector game second. The round is over in two minutes; the knife grid is what keeps you in the Discord at midnight. This index explains how knives actually enter a KMM inventory, which rarities matter, and how the free code blades compare with crate Godlies.
How a knife gets into your KMM inventory
Four pipes feed the grid. Codes are the fastest — N3WC0D3, R4YGUN and S2NBL4D3 are documented on the codes page and walked through in how to redeem. Crates eat coins you pick up during rounds. Trading is player to player in the lobby plaza. Events dump seasonal blades that later climb on the knife tier list once the box leaves the shop.
KMM clones the MM2 rarity ladder even when the uploader names things sloppily: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, Godly, Ancient, Chroma. Godly is the first rarity that changes how people treat you in trade chat. Chroma is a color-shift wrapper on a Godly mesh. Ancient is usually an event exclusive with a unique silhouette (Icebreaker, Swirly Axe, Traveler pieces). None of these rarities change the kill hitbox. A Common knife and Void scythe both down an Innocent in one slash. You are collecting flex, not DPS.
The three code knives you should lock first
Void scythe is the long dark curve. It reads as a Godly scythe in first-person and photographs well for trade ads. Sunblade is the gold leaf blade — easy to track in a dark Hotel corridor, which is a downside when you are Murderer and an upside when you want people to notice you. Raygun is the Sheriff-side flex: a sci-fi pistol skin plus trophies. Community MM2 trackers still treat Raygun as a liquid Godly (around 1,275 value, demand 6 in the 29 June 2026 Supreme update). In KMM it is a cosmetic grant, not a listed MM2 item you can cash out, but lobby traders still use those numbers as a language. Run them through the trade checker before you say yes.
Coins, crates and why farming maps matter
Coins spawn on the floor each round. A standard player can pocket a few dozen if they path the edges instead of camping one closet. Elite-style passes on some copies raise the cap. Dense maps like Mansion hide coins in the kitchen and garage; Factory sprays them across crate rows. If you only care about crates, play Innocent, ignore hero plays, and vacuum. Auto collectors live on the auto farm page. Pair coin routes with survival habits so you actually live long enough to finish a loop.
Crafting stations appear in some KMM inventories (the same HUD that holds EnterCode). Shard sinks that convert Legendaries into a Seer-like Godly exist on MM2; clones sometimes ship a stub that does nothing. If View opens a real craft grid, read the recipe twice — uploading a broken craft table is how people burn 20 Legendaries for a Common. When in doubt, trade the Legendaries instead. The trading guide covers value language, and Godly and Chroma is the deep rarity chapter.
- Codes before crates — free Godly-looking blades take thirty seconds.
- Never slash-unlock a knife you have not checked on the tier list.
- Scythes are long in first-person; compact knives are easier on mobile throw flicks.
- Inventory screenshots in trade ads should hide your full godly count if you do not want to get hunted.
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the most common KMM questions.
Do KMM knives carry over when the game is deleted?
Only if the new reupload shares a datastore with the old group. Assume nothing survives a wipe until you see your grid populate.
Is Void scythe better than a Common knife in a fight?
No. Rarity is cosmetic. Throw timing and footwork decide the kill, which is why the throw guide exists.
Can I trade KMM knives into real MM2?
No. They are different experiences and different inventories. Values are a shared language, not a shared backpack.
Where should I look up a knife I just unboxed?
Search this index, then the Godly page, then the knife tier list. If it is seasonal, check Events.
