How to Be Sheriff in KMM

Sheriff is a one-bullet job. You are not a deathmatch rifle. You are a detective who happens to hold the only ranged weapon in the building. Miss, and you have just armed the lobby.

Identification before aim

The Murderer sprints through a doorway they just cleared, holds a knife, or stands still in a coin pile that already had a corpse. Watch hands, not hats. Flex chromas do not mean killer. If you are unsure, hold the angle and wait for a slash animation. The how to play page is the role primer; this page is the trigger discipline.

Crosshair at head height on PC, slightly above the mobile joystick target because avatars jump. ADS if the clone offers it; most KMM kits are hipfire. A body shot still counts. A wall shot does not. The PC controls list the click; mobile is a right-side fire button that sits under your throw finger — rebind in Roblox settings if you keep throwing emotes instead of bullets.

Never shoot the runner who is simply scared

Innocents sprint. Sprinting is not evidence. Slashing is. If you team-shot an Innocent, the gun drops. Call it in chat if the clone has chat, then go sit on the gun or accept that you just became bait. The best Sheriffs die on top of their own pistol so the Murderer has to expose for it. Innocents who want to steal should read how to survive instead of crowding you.

Map-specific Sheriff holds

Mansion foyer staircase is a beautiful and terrible hold — you see everyone and everyone sees you. Prefer the kitchen door. Hotel cinema projector looks down a lane; you will get knifed from the stairs if you tunnel the seats. Factory crates are 50/50 peeks; hold the corner, do not walk the lane. Details are on Mansion, Hotel and Factory. ESP hubs on the ESP page paint the killer red; they also paint you into a false sense of security when the script lags one second behind a knife lunge.

Raygun trophies from R4YGUN make the pistol look louder. They do not add ammo. Shoot the Murderer, not the clip.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the most common KMM questions.

How many bullets does the Sheriff get?

One successful Murderer shot wins. A miss or a team-shot drops the gun.

Should I tell the lobby I am Sheriff?

Only if you want to be hunted. Quiet Sheriffs live longer.

Can I pick my gun back up after a miss?

Yes, if you reach it before someone else. Sprint, do not emote.

Does aiming at the head matter?

Body shots count. Head height just reduces floor-misses when they jump.
